A picture is worth...

I sure had fun hosting the "BIG GAME" party Saturday. I was personally feeling rather ambivalent. I like cheering for the under dog, whoever that might be. Can you all guess when I snapped this shot? And I was thrilled to have JT, Tris and Nicoletta, Baby Jane, PJ, Happy Hat, Shelly and all the kids here to visit and have fun. Thanks for the wonderful surprise visit!

Thanksgiving Day was awesome spending time at Mountain Road Ranch with the FAM. Friday was a perfect Pie Party for the family of The Rock. My girlies brought the house down in Sacrament Meeting when they sang on Sunday. I feel like I partied and cried all weekend. Glad to be back at work so I can rest...

I, too, am an "underdog fan". And I cheer for the Utes. I want to be different than most of the population behing the Zion Curtain. Even if the Utes were number one in the nation, they would still feel like the "underdog" to me here in Utah. Go, UTES! Also, it's the UofU that put me back together again. Priceless.

I thought about JT the whole game.
Priceless photo.

Well when they play each other, underdog just goes out the window. It can practically go either way, no matter what has happened earlier in the season. So I would say neither team is the underdog. Utah has just as many fans as BYU, IN UTAH that is. BYU has more fan base outside the state than practically any other team in the nation. Just watch/listen to any of their away games.

I haven't seen any Zion Curtain round' these parts.

WB sat on a pony
WB broke her bony
All the U docs and all the U men
Screwed her back together again.

Looks like I missed out on a rockin' party! Fun stuff.

@ Trist: BYU may have a large outside-of-the-state-of-origin fanbase, but I'd feel very unconfortable trying to support a "more than any other team" statement. I have only two words for you: Notre Dame.

Wildman's family are all die hard BYU fans. Most of them attended BYU at some point, and none, until now, have attended the U. Now he has one younger brother attendding med school at the U, and one that will attend med school there next spring. I think it's funny that all his U-attending brother has to do to spark a family tirade or riot, is whisper "Go, Utes!" It's quite entertaining. ;)

Oh, and super funny poem, Tris!

AT: Yeah you're probably right.

I'm with Rob though that I am a Utah fan in the sense of ALL Utah teams.

If any of you remember . BYU was the last place I wanted to be for college . . . .That has changed mainly because I like the Geography department.

Oh and I said "practically" any team . . .meaning yeah there are the notre dames out there, but do we care?

HAHA! oh, everyone is so funny. I love it. And I like the idea of being a "Utah Team" fan, that works for me....so, go Aggies! Way to win the last two games of the season! So, how long did it take to make up that poem, Tris, or was it inspired?

Canyonsrcool said...

It was inspired, took me like 10 seconds to make up . . well maybe really like 30 seconds.

Hey, I helped with the poem! And my entire family has graduated from BYU. I have watched BYU football for my entire life. I love BYU. I am a proud cougar (Even if I don't know the fight song). I just had to stand up loud and proud for my team.

Tristano may say he only went to BYU for the geography department, but I know that the real reason he went is me. Also, when blogging to his family of anti-all-things-Utah-Valley he may limit is like of BYU to the geography department, but I know differently. He does like BYU. (you should hear him while watching BYU sports.) He enjoys the education he has received and the environment in which he has received it. And as long as Timp stands over us, he can even like Utah Valley (a little).

Hey, I liked Sons of Provo....

Yeah...*sniff*...maybe our son can get in to the Lord's University...

And I DO like Utah Valley. They had the highest ratio on the vote on vouchers, almost 1:1.
